Training Injury Update

Had a small injury happen to me while squatting yesterday.

As I dropped down into rep 2 of my final set, a felt a twinge at the top of my right hamstring and bottom of my glute. Fortunately I was able to complete the rep, but that shut down the rest of the workout.

I immediately did some light stretching, and stayed as mobile as possible for the rest of the day on Saturday by walking around a few times. It's not too bad today, but there will be no heavy lower body lifting sessions for a while. Unfortunately, I don't have a chance to see my chiropractor for Active Release Treatment until May 22nd (due to my extensive travel schedule over the next 10 days) - bummer.

Today's workout will be for the upper body back at FIT gym in San Diego...bench, pullups, and rows.

Nutrition Update:
Yesterday's gluten free, brown-rice flour pancake stack filled me up for a long, long time.

Didn't have much for lunch other than some salad greens, fruit, an apple, and 1 oz almonds.

Dinner at McC and Schmick's was okay, not as good as Donavan's, but I had a similar meal:

Chilean sea bass, 3 jumbo scallops, and a side of broccolini.

It's a nice restaurant with great service.

Then early to bed, even though it was party night here at the Hard Rock in SD.

One more workout and then off to Denver.

Today's Kickbutt Mindset Tips:
No one can do the work for you. It is YOUR responsibility to get up and do the workouts, to plan, shop and prepare your meals on the weekend. To identify two solutions for every obstacle you encounter on a regular basis. For the mindset that you have about food, exercise, consistency, and your ability to succeed. It begins and ends with your internal responsibility. I will help you as much as humanly possible, but ultimately, success lives and dies with YOU and your ability to TAKE ACTION.

"No one gets old by surprise.” – Kekich Credo #84 ….. We all have things we want to accomplish. We all have dreams and goals of a better life that we want to live. Yet for some of us, the steps we need to take to get there are always “put off until tomorrow”. Take action today!
